I
went to this cabin in August of 2011. It is on Tustumena Lake which is 20 miles
long. This means you need a protected bay if you are going to leave your plane
overnight and there is no safe place near this cabin. OK for drop off but not
overnight. Lots of drift wood on the beach which is good for the fire but not
for the plane. The prevailing wind hits this beach a lot of the time. The
refuge area has a done a great job fixing up historic cabins and this is a
great example. It looks a little rough on the outside but is very nice on the
