West Turner Cabin is one of the most beautiful of all the cabins. It sits on a large rock with a stunning view down the lake. Behind the rock is a place to tie up your plane which is totally protected. A new dock was added after my 2010 visit.  The cabin is split into two rooms with one being the sleeping area and one being the living area. The out flow of the lake is a few hundred feet away. The cabin is about 15 minutes to Juneau so it is booked most of the time, this is one of the cabins where you have to plan your reservation ahead of time.

For pure beauty, great views and a historic cabin this cabin is hard to beat.
