Peterson Lake Cabin

Peterson Lake Cabin sits on the west side of the lake. The lake is narrow at mid lake with lilly pads almost crossing the narrows. A float plane can use the whole length of the lake. The cabin is a 12x14 Pan Abode with a huge deck. There is nice dock for your plane. This cabin is connected to the highway by a 4.5 mile trail which was being renovated in 2010. From 10am to 5pm hikers are allowed to warm up in the cabin. The cabin has both propane and wood heat.  When I stopped at the cabin the Forest service was using it as a base for the trail work. The canvas shown in the photo is temporary. The ground in front of the cabin is soggy.

The cabin has an all new interior as of about 2012 and looks great.
