Click for codes in spreadsheet or map: Codes used on site There are two places to resupply on Prince of Wales Island, Craig and Thorne Bay. There is no good way to get fuel. Best fuel points are the airport dock in Ketchikan and Delta Western fuel in Wrangell. Over the years Delta has always been about a dollar cheaper a gallon. Craig has a hardware store, several restaurants, a good size grocery and sleeping options. The last time I was in Thorne Bay they had a bar with food and a grocery store. Thorne bay has an excellent float plane dock which is well protected, Graig has a good dock for most conditions. Tongass National phone numbers: Craig 907 826 3271 Thorne Bay 907 828 3304 Graig is the city on Prince of Wales Island. There are bars, restaurants, sports stores, hardware stores and motels.    Bakery and restaurant tied in together.   Sports store.   Main dock for planes and boats, store 2 blocks away.  Food market is a good medium size store, good for total resupply.   Seaplane dock. Land at plane area on boat dock, stay here over night. 
   Like most Alaska towns they have a great Seaplane dock.  |
